Awww... thanks. The grey hen butt is a Silkie...not that you can tell from her feathers. I suspect maybe she is a Silkiechin. The other is a Cochin :)

I had two broodies. They were both such great mommas. This grey hen is literally crawling underneath my Cochin so she can be the one to sit on the chicks!

I get between 5 and 6 large eggs and usually 2 bantam eggs. With two teenage boys in the house we rarely have extra. Once in a while I gift the neighbors with a dozen to apologize for my loud roo.
