Kinda of answered my question. Bought my eight chicks and two ducks, a year ago now. Unfortunately one night forgot to put the ducks back into the Coop which is inside a 12 x 12 foot dog runner. One got gone the other I saved. He/she is bigger than all my hens but thinks he/she is a chicken...
Regarding my last comment. I have eight girls, and six months ago added two ducklings. Unfortunately, one baby duck was taken. The other hurt, but is just fine and a huge Quacker. Took him a while to adapt with the girls, they pecked at him, until he got a bit big. And then it became funny. He...
I have eight Hens, one who was attacked by a raccoon. Blue Kote has an antibiotic in it. The Color Blue is deterrent to which Hens will pick and are attracted to red - blood-----yes it stains, but has ben very successful with my ladies, and healing.
My duck gets pecked on by my eight chickens, I will not say by all eight. However when his sibling got eaten he wants friends. I have a separate pen, but is just a fence between them. I let them hang out and then put them in their separate beddings.
That's seems to be fine. Animals are animals.
Hi there, in response to all these questions.... I had two ducks and two chickens. one of both died. The duck and chicken became best of buddies. That being said, I now have 8 hens, 1 year old. Just bought two ducklings. They are not that old yet, about the size of a big black bird. So I took...
Raccoons are mean, but they are still animals. I love my cat but he can be mean. Bit me once when I made a bad choice to interfere with a fight.
I'm good, Rabies shot. Still love my kitty cat.
I have eight girls, not a year old yet. They are my little friends. This August, 2015, I was sleeping and my boyfriend and I heard them screaming, my bedroom window faces out to their coop. I have a 15' x 15' dog cage that they are in. Didn't have a top on at that time. Two nice little houses...
I am not a genius, I have eight girls. Easy enough for me to put a little vaseline on their combs, I live in Michigan and it can get very cold. There was not big need for me to do it, but I thought what the heck, it;s not going to hurt them. Alls I had to do was sit with with them - takes about...
My chicks, and they are only about 15 weeks old - so not really chicks. I go out to their coop every morn to let them out into their run. All's I have to say is "morning ladies", and they come running. It is very sweet. I usually take a few moments to sit with them and chat and let them jump all...
I go every morning to let my hens out of the coop into their run. As soon as I get close, I just say "Hey ladies" morning. They coming running to me, it is so sweet. When I have time I will take a blanket and hang out with them for a few and catch some sun. I have eight and they will all climb...
