I am no expert at all, but I had a chicken do this and I notice that you have a bale of something that looks very dusty I wonder if he has inhaled dust and can't breathe properly. It happened to mine when I was building their coop and I lost two this way. Try looking in emergencies/diseases...
Sounds good to me if you are that way inclined. Never hurts to get trained - combat? not so sure... where you guys are posted at mo is not a good place as in extremely hot, especially in combat gear and also very dangerous. I know some South Africans who are out there doing BG'ing - get paid...

Regulations can be a pain and alo people who take it into their heads to complain just because they can. Maybe you should try bribing them with fresh eggs! if anyone does complain that it - lots of luck
