I've had chickens for about 5 years. I started with 5 and had a buff brahma rooster out of that bunch. He got mean to my kids and all the typical rooster antics. We had him for a little over a year. Since then I said no more roosters. Now I have 12 beautiful hens of various breeds. Yesterday I...
The brahma in the back is a pullet of course but wondering about the other one. The other pictures are of the brahma in question. Any feedback would be great. Thank you.
I have two white Orpingtons named "Thelma & Louise". They are identical to me. My aviator is them when they were chicks. They are always together. Very sweet calm birds. They tolerate the new chicks extremely well and I get at least 5 eggs a week each. Love them.
I have a pair (I think) and the one I think is a boy looks a lot like your pictures Light Brahma. My two are 6-7 weeks old. I guess time will tell but I'm betting you get to take home a roo
I was pretty sure these two are pullets but the last week I've noticed some wattles. They just keep me guessing.
Chick #1
Chick #2
Both chicks side by side chick #1 on the left
The chicks are 4 weeks old now! They grow so fast.
Our 2 light Brahma's.
My favorite chick is one of the Brahma's. We call her Puckett.
The Polish are hilarious looking right now!
The Speckled Sussex are the smallest of the bunch but very spunky Fun to watch.
The Silver Laced...
I know it's just a guessing game right now, but my two light Brahmas are so different I'm thinking the slow feathering one is the roo. They are 3-4 weeks old now. The fuzzy one hasn't changed much but the other one is feathering very fast and cute like a girl. They had their first day outside...
Finally a sunny day! 3.5 week old chicks first time outside.
Feather fluffing and sun bathing was constant. My light Brahma was adorable fluffing her feathers.
Silver Laced Wyandotte. Sun bathing and practice flights was all they cared about. Pretty entertaining chicks.
My white crested...
Thank you. I figured it's a wait and see. Regardless they are my two favorite chicks right now. All my chicks have tail feathers except this one. I'm leaning towards one male and one female. I think guessing is half the fun.
Two light Brahms's chicks about 2.5 weeks old. Is there any way to tell boy or girl. They are very different In the feathering. Largest one is still fuzzy and the smaller one is feathering faster. Has a girl look to her face. Fuzzy one is always walking tall and ever watchful of everything. Both...
I I also have two light Brahms's in this group of chicks. One is smaller with lots of feathers and the other has virtually no feathers and much larger. Seems a lot like a rooster always walking tall and watchful. These two are the calmest of the bunch and super sweet. If he's a rooster he gets...
Omg my post is all messed up. White ORP on top pic white rock in bottom pic of my last lost. Some reason pic of both of them didn't work. I'll try again.
