Da' Cute and Cuddly Call Duck thread!

This one sure looks god at this age. I'm pretty new to this, but have had a couple hatch that looked like very small bills, then as they grew so did the bills. I think the advice I've been given about not choosing the keepers until they have their full feathers is pretty spot on. That said...

Good morning all. Some cute pics of the latest arrivals in the Australian Call side of the pen. One has some sort of eye probs that we are treating, but he looks to be unable to see at the moment. One was slow coming out and got booted from the nest, so we have him under a heat lamp. He is not...

Some cuteness for the morning. This lot hatched while I was away for a couple of weeks. There are 2 more girls sitting and one other who abandoned hers 20 days in. The eggs were stone cold, but I picked the best looking and shoved them under a chook and to my surprise they were all moving again...

Question, I have just separated my calls into trios, so how long before the eggs I get are fertilised by the drakes the ducks are with now?

This looks like the place to leave this. This is my first Australian call after about 50 infertile eggs. I'm away and won't be home to see him until tomorrow too. Great timing

I had a quick look at the Somerset council site, which lead to a longer look at the Dept of Local Gov site then another longer look at the Somerset council site, and there is a law buried in there. If you care to find out if you are OK, it is HERE for the moment, but will probably move in the...

Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Hi all. I've been lurking for a bit, but thought I would put in my 2c worth. Our council didn't have a max number of chickens allowed, but there were rules about noise, odour and how far a coop was from water source. All regulations and by laws should be readily available on their website ...

Hi All, Love this site, it seems to have all the best answers about everything poultry when I ask Google, so I thought I better join up. I am new to ducks and have 9 Australian Calls that I have purchased in the hope of breeding up my own line. My partner has had chooks for a few years and is...
