It's been a while since I've posted pics of the birds. Here they are! I'm loving how my little late mystery runt, Bug, is turning out. She is so cute with the white face and reddish body. She's a talker too. My handsome little man, Mucky, is of course looking gorgeous. Such a sweet little...

Sweetest little guy right here! He'll sit on my lap in the yard and let me pet him forever. He jumps up on my shoulder, settles down, and hangs out there. Such a doll. He's going to be a very handsome little man. This little baby is a sweetie too. And quite the bug destroying machine. She's...

This little one hatched a day later than everyone else, is the smallest, and apparently a red pyle that snuck in with the bbr. I love her, or at least I think it's a her. I'm no expert. They're a little over four weeks old now. This one has quite the comb already and is the only one with a...

I gotta say, I love the roosters. They can be a little feisty but they're so small. They can't really do too much harm. I had three bantam roosters and nine hens in my backyard flock and they all got along just fine. They just kinda have little mans complex. lol They think they're bigger than...

Aubrey, what do you think about the color of this chickie? It's lighter than all the rest with a couple of random black spots here and there. What's that going to look like? Still a bbr?

I was finally able to upload the video I took last night. Here it is! I think it's so cool how much you can see going on in that egg.

    May Hatch-a-Long!

Good for a laugh... I posted a picture of my eggs in the incubator on my Facebook the other day. Now, I do consider my best friend to be incredibly intelligent. She's a Berkley grad student. So I was a little surprised when she asked how many chicks were going to hatch. I replied, "silly, don't...

Shipped egg broke, yolk on remaining eggs

I received a dozen eggs and only two remained intact. One with no cracks and one with a few hairline cracks. I washed the one with cracks and sealed it with a little bit of wax and left the other one alone. They were so jumbled that they're probably scrambled. The box was an eggy mess. We'll see...
