Day 13 for my quail eggs. The incubator has been running a little cool, but I'm hoping it's just the eggs generating enough heat to trip the thermostat. The thermostat probe is in the middle of the eggs and the thermometer is off to the side.
Tomorrow I will candle and start lockdown. I'm still having trouble finding an acceptable brooder bulb; the local hardware store only had incandescent bulbs up to 60w and that won't get me to 95 degrees. I will have to try a reptile shop in the next few days.
You don't have to wait as long for quail as chickens, that's for sure. I'm on Day 12 and it's going rather slowly. Still not quite 2/3 done. Good luck with your hatch!
