May Hatch-a-Long!

Pics
So I think 9 of the original 18 silkie eggs are still developing. Lockdown is Saturday. When I removed the egg cartons Monday, humidity skyrocketed! I think it killed 4 of them...or they had already quit. It was at 85% :*(

6 days to go with my 3 Rouen duck eggs and a storm knocked out power for two hours last night. I can see movement in 2 of the eggs, but the 3rd doesn't look good. I'm praying the surviving eggs hatch, but who knows. I think I will try one more hatch after this of more Rouen eggs as I really want a few more hens.

How many days past Day 28 would you give Duck and Turkey eggs to hatch?

I'd give them as long as they need. As long as you still see movement and/or hear peeping, it's probably fine. If they've been internally pipped without an external pip for 24-32 hours, I'd make a "safety hole" just in case they're having trouble breaking the shell.

Day 12 here... out of 18 eggs:
6 look like maybe chicks are growing. They are dark inside.
10 look way too light inside to have a day 12 chick inside it...and the airsacs were huge saddle shapes and wobbly.
2 others I did crack open to see no growth- no veins, nothing except yolk and white.
I am afraid the postal service did a number on this box...it looked fine when I picked it up, but the way most of them look shows badly shaken eggs. I will have to find Birchen Marans closer to home if none of these hatch...I do have 1 chick who is 2 weeks old...so all I would need is one of the opposite sex to have a pair and start my own flock from those 2..IF I get at least 1 to hatch and have it be the mate to the one in my brooder box. So frustrating...the seller is wonderful too...very helpful. Just the USPS handles the boxes so roughly I think.

I'm on Day 12. A little worried about one of my Marans eggs. It has a little spot of clear dried substance on it. I am worried that it could have been weeping and it dried. However, I may simply have not noticed this before...or something got on it.

It is touching other eggs so I am going to move it into the corner. I've never had eggs weep, even when I had 20-30 infertile eggs in the incubator until Day 24 (rooster problem).
