Today is day 28 and not even an external pip! Lots and lots of wiggling though.
I set 24 eggs and 21 made it to lockdown (pretty good I think). 1 infertile, 1 early quitter, 1 died the day before lockdown.

Locked mine down on Monday!! Had one bad egg I tossed out earlier, so 19 eggs in. I tried candling but it was hit and miss. Some I could see, some I couldn't. :/ This is my first attempt at incubating, so I'd love to have something to show for my effort. That said, I've been out to the coop several times the past two days and found my white rock sitting in a nesting box. Wouldn't you know, right as my first set of bator eggs are scheduled to hatch, I'd have a hen go broody!

They're Welsh Harlequin ducks. It's day 29 and still not even an external pip! Lots of wiggling and peeping though. Hopefully they're all doing good!

Day 13 for my quail eggs. The incubator has been running a little cool, but I'm hoping it's just the eggs generating enough heat to trip the thermostat. The thermostat probe is in the middle of the eggs and the thermometer is off to the side.

Tomorrow I will candle and start lockdown. I'm still having trouble finding an acceptable brooder bulb; the local hardware store only had incandescent bulbs up to 60w and that won't get me to 95 degrees. I will have to try a reptile shop in the next few days.
