In the south, no you don't need a warmer. But up north, I would imagine that it would probably be beneficial. I wouldn't know for sure, but I see lots of ice and snow on TV.

It's best to keep children away from roosters because he is just doing his duty. You don't see your sons' actions as threatening but your cock does. Many cocks are tolerant, but most aren't. Keeping them seperate stops these things from happening.
Breed standards may require them to be dubbed. Or if they're match birds... which I doubt though because there would be plenty of folks that have dubbed before.
The Hackberry will grow into a medium to large sized tree and birds frequent the berries quite often, so it shouldn't be harmful to your chickens. Nor would beech leaves.
Very sharp knife, some down feathers, and separation from the flock is how I've seen it done personally.

The store bought eggs are sprayed with a type of oil after washing them. It keeps them "fresh" for a lot longer. I never notice any difference in taste from store bought, and home grown.
Everyone else on here says they do, but I fail to notice details usually.
There definately are some breeds that are more prone to aggressiveness than others, but, I can't elaborate on that because most of that information on my part would be just heresay (however you spell that). I'm sure someone will chime in though.
