I have a 7 week old White Wyandotte pullet, that opens her mouth frequently, like she is trying to pop her ears, or doing a quick yawn.
Has anyone else seen this?
Other than that, she is perfectly normal.
I am going to convert my shed into a coop for my 12 hens & 1 roo. It would be a big help if I can get some visual ideas for the layout! Nesting boxes, perches etc...
Thank you!
I adopted some chicks, was told they were a Bantam cross. This black one though, I can not figure out. She is smaller than the rest, and a little more neurotic. She does have minimal feathering on her legs.
Any ideas what breed she may be?
Thanks!
It may not be the sellers fault. Sounds like it very well could be a spinal issue. (Got stepped on, fell from a high place?) However, the sellers handling of this is terrible, that's a good way to NOT get repeat or word of mouth business.
I wish you well.
I agree with Omran. Put them back in the coop for a while. Otherwise, spend the entire day following them around to find the nests. If you let them lay outside, you do run the risk of predators finding the eggs. (and coming back for more!) What ever you do, once you find the outside nests...
She could have been wrong. Or simply just guessed they where bantams. This white one has no feathering on the legs. It looks kind of like a Delaware, anyone else think so?
