Thanks for the ideas!! So far she’s been doing great adjusting to everything. She’s eating and drinking and we put her outside for a few hours a day when we’re home and it’s dry.

I think my chicken may have a broken leg. Please help

We took Stella to the vet and found out her leg was broke in 3 places. Still not sure how it happened but the vet out a splint on hoping it will help her heal. She’s currently an ‘inside’ chicken until she gets used to the splint and is able to move around better. So far she’s still eating...

I think my chicken may have a broken leg. Please help

I'm still not sure where the injury is. No bones are sticking out. While I was holding her my husband felt around and gently pulled out the leg. He says he feels a 'click'. When he does that she does pull the leg back into her. I'm not sure if it's by the knee or up further to where it...

    Rooster just doing his job............

Thanks for the advice. Lately he's been getting locked in one of the stalls while I'm there and then released when I leave. I just can't figure out why he hasn't given up like he has with some of the other people going in and out of the barn. I'm not afraid of him, but I definitely watch my...

    Rooster just doing his job............

I have a dozen hens and, for good reason, no rooster. I help a neighbor on her horse farm who has a rooster. For whatever reason he seems to not like me. I've tried challenging him with a plastic pitchfork but he just keeps coming after me. He'll even come after me while I'm in the stalls...

Help! Not sure what to do with my 7 week ok hen

I've noticed the past week or so one of my hens is acting really strange. She's keeping her head down and walking backwards. She will keep her head down and back into the wall. She doesn't do it all the time, but it's enough to make me worry. Any suggestions?
