Thanks. I already have grit, and I was giving it to them in the brooder but stopped once they went outside. I was thinking about giving them some anyway.
Is raw rolled oats okay? The original list mentioned cooked oatmeal. Not raw rolled oats. Can I throw some in their pool? Some are almost 5 weeks and some are almost 4 weeks.
lol! I tried to put them in. They all freaked out so I gave up. I left the pool in there and about day 3 they started getting in. It's very shallow, and it's been hot as hell here. Just to clarify, since I left it in there with ducklings.
Alright. I have 6 ducks, one drake. 1 pekin, 3 runners (one is the male) and 3 KC. I have a small kiddie pool in there. The Pekin...does not like it. At this very moment, all of the other 6 ducks are in there. The Pekin is just sitting on the side. Now, it isn't an issue that it can get in. I've...
I have 7 ducklings. I JUST put them outside two days ago. Unfortunately, the weather has not been in my favor, and it's been raining like crazy. Every time it rains, the ducklings...just walk around in the rain and they just "yap" or cry, I'm not really sure. I go out there and put them inside...
I'm not going to lie, I picked them up one and two at a time and put them in there. They were not happy until all of them were there, but they adapted QUICKLY. First time being outside! It was in the 50s last night, and I left them out. They are fine this morning! Although it was raining, so I'm...
Mine were three week this past Monday! They'll be going on this week. Highs are 70+ and lows are 50+. Next week highs are 80+ and lows are 60+. They would've been out alright, but the rain has been brutal. So hopefully today or tomorrow. I was worried that 3 weeks was too soon, as this is my...
Thanks. That's pretty much what I'm going to have to do. I'm going to section off the enclosure so I don't have to chase them around when I need them back. The weather has been awful this weekend and this week so far. I'm hoping I can get them outside tomorrow, if not tomorrow then Thursday...

Are they still ducklings in the brooder or ducks that are outside?
Mine are still ducklings...
Stupid question but: I have my enclosure mostly done (as in they can go outside now in the day time, but I couldn't leave them in at night) But...they don't particularly like me. They're fine as long as I'm not trying to grab them. :-( I tried to handle them as much as possible when they were...
What's the temp inside of the box? Ducklings should have fairly high temperatures. They like a temperature of 90-92 ish degrees for the first three days and then 85-90 for days 3-7. Then gradually drop it after that. With that being said, my temps have been in the low 50's, and they haven't...
Give me patience, too. lol. We probably won't build the house this weekend, but are still hoping to get the enclosure down. Unfortunately, it wasn't supposed to start raining until tomorrow, but it's been raining ALL morning. :-(
Thanks. And it all goes directly in the water? Where would I get colloidal silver? I've read on this site (After I posted) that Vetericyn works well. It's a spray available at TSC. Would you recommend that?
How much do you use of each?
