    Thank you Rudies Roost, I am thinking the same thing. I almost lost her over the winter, she got too cold, but I was able to baby her enough to get her back.

    Thank you and unfortunately no. I didn't think she would still be with us this morning, but she's still here. I really don't want to put her down, but I don't want her to suffer either. With her not eating, I know that's definitely not a good sign.

    I have a 4 year old hen, I noticed about a week ago that she was not as active as usual. A few days later she was just laying with her head on the ground, lots of feces on her tail feathers. I thought maybe her rear end was clogged up, it was not. I brought her inside the house, she continues...

    Help me diagnose my sick chicken!

    I just read your post, and I know it's a couple of years old, but I was wandering if you were able to determine what was wrong with your chicken? I have a hen that is exhibiting the same symptoms, she's about 4 years old, she hasn't eaten in days and now has stopped drinking. Thank you very much.
