Attaching to the metal is the thing. I've been drilling through the wood and metal and using bolts with big washers and then good wood screws for any framing. It's a headache, so much extra to get it together, but in the end I hope it'll be better. I'm excited about it.

Where did you'all get the clear corrugated plastic? All I've ever seen is green around here that I picked up on the side of the road after a storm. I'm thinking about different material to close in the 4th side of a new coop over hardware cloth in the winter, but I love the light in your coop.
