    sounds like she could be egg bound. have you given her warm baths to try & help her get the egg out maybe? i think you can give aspirin to chickens in water, if you google it you can find the dose. you are a good chicken mother worrying about her comfort, she’s lucky you are looking out for her.

    maybe some meloxicam from vet or aspirin in her water to help the inflammation? my duck is having walking problems & i brought her to the vet. would not recommend that unless they know about ducks which this one doesn’t. good luck, i hope your baby is better soon!

    oh i didn’t know this about mpc, holy cow. i thought the birds were very nicely secured when shipped & they have been very healthy until this issue today. thx for info on the bath, i sure don’t want more issues than we already have. i’ll keep w/ the baby aspirin & will try the watm bath & rest.

    no, i got these from my pet chicken. i haven’t supplemented niacin b/c i read that mealworms are a good source & they love them. i am going to try an epsom salt bath & maybe another baby aspirin later. thanks for your thoughts.
