sorry for taking so long to respond Ive been off BYC for a few months yeah I'd still be interested, just a couple questions
do you ship
and do you have pure white calls or pure black?
I'm looking for several birds preferably within an hrs drive of Oskaloosa, Ia or shipped.
2 cayuga duck females, minimal white feathers if possible-
would like to have a 6-9 month old range on those two, younger and older work fine as well
a pair or trio of white call ducks, minimal black...
they are fairly easy to tell apart once their feathers start coming in, if I were you I would just find someone who would take your extra roos, I have a neighbor that takes mine off my hands for me if they aren't great quality the better quality ones go to a friends farm where I can still pick...
yes but remember to keep grit around so they don't have issues.
one thing to watch out for if you use it quite a bit, is that cat food can be high in salt and birds don't do well if they have too much salt, I would just make sure that it is spread out and that they are getting plenty of their...
I know that premade diets are easier, and I know how much a proper diet is important, I am working with a feed mill rep he can make any mix I want and be able to add the nutrients that may be lacking, I want to have equal parts of the 3 grains at about 20 lb a peice for a 200lb order, I just...
What percentages of protein and nutrients would I get from having equal parts black oil sunflower seeds, whole corn, and whole oats? I'm using them as a filler for my chicken feed and want to know how much soybean meal I need to add I know soybean meal is about 48 percent protein but don't know...

ok then I think they will be fine, I have large fowl and bantam chickens in together I would say that ducks should be fine my regular ducks do fine with my bantam chickens
you can freeze these in ice too but I will just list them,
watermelon
cantalope
muskmelon
honeydew
bananas w/o skin
tomatoes
beans(green beans fresh, dried beans cooked)
peas
zucchini
lettuce
cabbage
peppers
strawberries
their own eggs, but cooked
garlic, but not onions, they will eat it but...
they are beardless, I'm going my the poof and posture, they are all standing nice and upright, and they don't have nice rounded poofs coming in, they look a bit crazy so that is why I thought male.
Add some meatbird feed to their grower, not much but feather pluckers are usually protein deficient so the meatbird will give them the extra protein or if you can get some soybean meal works good too. a trail cam can help you see which one is plucking but usually it is a protein deficiency...
sometimes it will take a day sometimes they will never mix, I have 3 week olds in with 10 week olds and they do great were mixed in on the second day together, i've seen where some have never mixed with flock mates though.
it is just trying to find it's voice it will be raspy until it gets clucking, my turkey is going through the same thing he is the most awful sounding bird but he used to have the most lovely turkey peeping, ugh babies have to grow up don't they
I would just leave the guineas in with the chickens, they usually will prefer to sleep in the trees but you can try to "home" the to the coop, the roos and jacks usually don't fight. and they should have about 4 sq. ft per bird inside the coop whether they forage or are kept within a run
I would get more than just two bantams, more like the same number or more than your ducks they should get along fine but keep an eye on any drakes you have, because anatomical differences can cause them to kill female chickens if they try to breed.
