    Chicken Sunroom Anyone?

    Does anyone have any plans or pictures of an enclosed "sunroom" attached to the coop for a small flock of chickens? My free range chickens love being outside but w/ cold icy weather already here, I need to get an outdoor room made quickly. Any suggestions?

    Girl or Boy?

    Yup...she's a pill. She's names Elenour after a high strung past boss. I just read that Minorcas aren't great cold weather birds and are prone to comb frostbite. Think she'll do OK up in the northeast? Also, Minorcas are registered on the breed charts as rare to uncommon. Does this sound right?

    Girl or Boy?

    You have no idea what a help that is! I was about ready to find her a new home for fear she was a rooster....I'm not ready (nor are my neighbors) to deal w/ a 4AM wake up crow. What are Buff Minorcas like? Are they always flighty? DO hatcheries sometimes mess up the breeding when chicks are shipped?

    Moving time

    How should I integrate 4 3mo old buff orps into a coop w/ 4 2yo barred rock hens? They free range together OK, but now w/ cold weather coming, they need to room together in the warm coop. ANy suggestions?

    Girl or Boy?

    Have 4 3mo buff orps and one is odd. SHe's flighty, nervous and has a 90 degree up tailfeathers. She's got the disposition of a leghorn but the hatchery she's from doesn't carry buff orps. How can I tell if she's a rooster instead? Her comb is no different than the others. Hmm....

    Where's the egg?

    First time posting because I'm totally confused. Have 4 2&1/2 yo barred rocks and 4 3&1/2mo buff orps. The barred rocks haven't laid a thing in almost 3 weeks! They've spent plenty of time in the boxes but no eggs. I've looked in every nook for a hidden nest but no eggs! Read in another post...
