    Sounds like what happened to my girl. Give her an antibiotic and hope for the best. Hopefully she will absorb the eggs. The doctor can also perform surgery and take the mess/eggs out. A sonogram will tell you what is going on most likely.

    I have red sexed linked. I got one implanted to keep it alive and I got two others implanted before they started having issues. The first one had eggs stuck in her oviducts which is common when the ladies get older then 2 or 3 years of age according to my avian vets. Look up hen rescues.

    I suppose I should update even thought it's late. I took her in to have her spayed, (she was eating and drinking but was swelled) and when he opened her up it was cancer, all over cancer. Since she was already asleep I had her put her down. That was demoralizing.

    Can you tell me how much your paying to get your girls implants and are they the 6 month or 1 year? Also what does a spay cost for a chicken and do you worry about scar tissue or is that not something to be concerned with, when they are spayed? Thanks, Susan
