    She is by herself so I figured that she just took off but she would show up periodically and eat then leave again ..I finally figured it out ..she was laying her eggs under the doghouse there are no males around that are old enough ..

    Not sure my FIL gave them to me to hatch out the box they came in said Black copper marans I don't want to breed them just want to keep the best looking roosters They have not molted yet and they are only about 6 months old or so

    My Father in law had ordered some quail eggs and the guy sent him chicken eggs instead they were black copper marans I put them in the incubator and 8 hatched out 4 pullets and 4 roosters I want to keep 2 of the males and not the other 2 I am gonna post pic of the roosters you all can let me...

    When I got them they were yellow and one is really big there are 2 that are white feathered but the other 4 are getting brown on their feathers

    The Darker one is a rooster he finally got his saddle feathers and started crowing luckily he doesnt fight with the other rooster

    I have 2 mixed breed chickens that hatched out they are about 2 months old now from the same rooster and hen. I was wondering if you could tell me if they are rooster and or hen.
