I have heard of hens crowing usually when a rooster is not present and she's the head of the pack I own roosters and never experienced this with any of my hens if your sure she's a pullet this is interesting I would love to see a picture of her not even crowing just a picture of her in general
Started from eggs now the flock is coming together nicely. It's been a pleasure to work with these magnificent birds. I haven't found my roosters to be aggressive. And one of my hens even went broody and hatched 4 little chicks. It's been a wild ride but a great experience!!

Best thing you can do now is treat him the best way you can and see if he gets better if you start to see suffering or he's yelping in pain I would put him down humanly
In my experience it's all on the mother hens personality. I've had some hens protect there baby's to the death. Not literally death but protect them well. And some let the other pick on there chicks. It's something you just have to keep an eye on.
I hope the little guy makes it. But this is why I never do assisted hatch. Some fowl are just not meant to hatch. And the usually end up suffering and eventually passing. But like I said I'm routing for your little duck. I've broke my own rule on exotic eggs at times so I understand
