Hey everybody! I have some bourbon red turkeys that I've hatched out and are getting pretty big and will soon need to go to the pin with my 8 adult bourbon reds. I have 2 toms and 6 hens. Does anyone know how they will act? I know there will be a pecking order placed but will they hurt or kill...
I only know what I've read and they say that you should watch the cracked eggs but if you see no progress, pull it because bacteria may grow on to the other eggs and kill them. I would do what you say and leave it until next weekend and candle it to see if any progress has been made and if not...
Haha I have no camera gear. That's just my phone. I don't have much but trying to start learning so I can grow a small turkey selling business, maybe. It's just a thought for now but I will see what I can do with it.
This is candled at day 6. I just now took the time and canceled my eggs seeing how I was reading your thread. Then I figured out how to post the picture. Haha it took me a minute.
That's what I think is so cool about it. Hatching the eggs of what breed you really want and keeping the rotation of the circle of life going. I never thought I would be doing anything like this but I'm excited about learning and growing myself.
Hey! I'm new on here so I'm looking for information. I'm trying to hatch red bourbon turkey eggs and was wondering how to sell them when they are big enough and how much to sell them for. Any information is appreciated.
