What is your opinion, I just got rid of two this age that had bigger comb and wattles and figured they were boys, but two of these three guys got me stumped, 9 weeks old, first one I'm pretty confident is a girl, the last two I thought would be boys but the combs haven't grown like the two I got...
We are at about 9 weeks old I believe! That big guy is the rooster I'm keeping and the other is the one that confuses me. All my girls have little red wattles but this one has a slightly bigger comb than the rest. Also, can you tell me if the big guy is a mottled or Mille??
My big girl hatched 14 out of 15 eggs this weekend. Only one needed a little help, found him in the corner belly up and cold, thought he was dead till I touched him and he moved. Put in on a heating pad and back to life he sprang!
So does everyone let their bantams free range?? My largefowl birds free range all they want, but I'm afraid to let my little ones out, once full grown, when I'm not at home. I'm lucky to have not had a hawk or dog get my large fowl the whole year Ive had them... but my little babies!!!
One of my big splash hens went broody! One more week till they hatch! This is a mixed flock with a splash rooster, two splash hens, two gold laced, two silver laced, two americaunas, a black laced and a buff Orpington ... who knows what will hatch!? Haha
