this is awesome. I grow wheatgrass for my own health, usually give the "bottoms' to the girls, but now I think I must try to grow these other greens for them speciifcally... yes, my girls are spoiled rotten!

I have been noticing for the last few years, that the chickens just leave the cracked corn from their scratch... when I mentioned it to my feed store people, they agreed that folks have been saying that.
Has that been an issue from any of you? At first I thought it might be the breed, so...
I usually have the americana,,, for their pretty green eggs, but this last season, they were not very productive.... looking for a good layer, don't need meat..... some say this is a "medium' layer (I also have Leghorns which lay a lot!) others say it is a 'good layer"....... I want to cut...
I live in Hawaii, the State, the Island & the County. There are lots of wild doves here, and some pigeons, too.I just installed 6, 6"X6" nesting boxes on the outside of my chicken coop, and am wondering what my chances are of getting 'tenants"... lol, I was thinking of hanging a sign saying...
I have a question ::: there are lots of cute wild mourning doves around my place, ut here in the jungle, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if they will move into these little box nests that I got from a friend??? and if so, would I need to put in grass for the next... or leave the box empty...
