ISO Cockerel in Catawba County, NC

Okay, I have a bit of a niche ISO. I have a small farm of all roosters, drakes, and then my sheep. I have one bachelor flock that coexists perfectly in my front yard, I have one rooster that lives with 2 drakes in the back, and then I have a rooster that has been healing from having his entire...

    Thoughts on Breed 🤔

Clearly Cracker is an easter egger and daddy had to be an Ameraucana, as the lady who I got the eggs from only had Ameraucana and BCM roosters. All his siblings are dark with fuzzy legs and then there's Cracker over here 🙈 bless his heart. He's white with off-white back feathers, and has dark...

    Foamy eye

Well if you have 50 ducks that answers why you don't understand having just 2. I cant just separate them and expect in a week things would be fine. If you have 50 you can split them and have them go on about their lives with friends......with 2 that would essentially make them solitary animals...

    Foamy eye

It corrected. Just squirted saline rinse in his eye when it was really foamy and did goo it up with triple antibiotic ointment a few days. They're both doing well, as soon as mating season calms down they both go back to loving each other. Only having 2 ducks I could never just "get rid of one...

    Cockeral scared of older hens

So my sweet little old hens are apparently very good at whopping cockerel butt 🙈. They're 4 years old and never dealt with any man other than my 2 drakes, which they also put in their place as they got older. All 3 of my cockerels are scared of my 2 black sex link hens. Whopper my BCM has...

    Breed? 🤔

Ah okay! Yeah my older cockeral has some white lacing on a few of his toe feathers but never this much. Since hes been my only BCM I havent really had a lot of experience to compare these guys to!

    Breed? 🤔

Hmm that would be interesting, would explain how some of them have super fuzzy legs lol. I'd love it if they happened to be, I lost a bantam cochin earlier in the year and she was absolutely adorable ❤

    Breed? 🤔

I picked up the eggs from a local lady and hatched them out. So she only had a BCM and an Ameraucana rooster, but a variety of hens.

    Breed? 🤔

Alright so definitely a BCM mixture, but now theres silver lacing showing up. I know the eggs I got were either dark like BCM eggs or Ameraucana. So the barring to me doesnt seem right to be an olive egger. She also had cuckoo marans......so potentially BCM x Cuckoo maran??

One cockeral singling out another cockeral

Oh course all my recent pics of him aren't great at showing his tail. But I'm pretty sure hes a cockeral...hes a good deal larger than my BCM cockeral of the same age and his tail hangs like a cockeral. At 16 weeks hes a great bigger than my Plymouth rock RIR hens that are 4 years old. Hes a big...

One cockeral singling out another cockeral

My BCM cockeral has recently had his surge in testosterone, mated a hen yesterday and thinks hes just the man. Well today out of no where he singled out my buff cockeral Peep multiple times. Chased him down, ran Peep behind a Bush, two other times he ripped feathers out. My BCM grew up with...
