Well, I have 50 ducks and my home owners will only let me have a maximum of 5. So I have been looking at mini farm insurance. So far, no luck because of the log home. There is only one company here that will cover a log home on homeowners. They consider any damage to a log home a total loss...
I called state farm, the agent told me they do not do farm insurance.
The farm bureau is tomorrow's adventure. I also found some co-ops I am going to try.
I just don't understand it. I see lots of log homes around here with horses, sheep, chickens, etc......
I contacted an insurance agent 3 months ago about getting quotes for a farm and have been getting the run around. No local carriers will offer farm insurance to me because I have a log home.

No, I don't think so. BUT, I asked an agent for it in March and I still don't have a quote. She keeps telling me she is working on it. To me, it has been a long time to be working on it.
