We actually found a small spot to bypass the softener, so just in case it is a risk to them....it's no longer a risk! Thanks for all the advice!

I ordered from Mt. Healthy hatchery and they were so helpful (first timer), gave me the exact date I needed, and all my chicks arrived healthy! I called 3 times with questions and they didn't act annoyed at all with my "stupid questions" (in my opinion lol). I'll definitely order from them again!

Sorry, new chicken owner! My dad mentioned that my chicks can't have water that's gone through my water softener but I haven't read that (I read the whole book "raising chickens for dummies" lol) and don't have water that doesn't go through it. We get water from a well and even the outside water...
