Thanks you to all that helped me with this precious little baby. His neck has straightened out and he is up walking and really doing great. Trying to jump out of my brooder actually! He still has some gunk on him, but here's a pic
A Cayuga I believe. We have a pair of them and a pair of Rouens. We lost the momma Cayuga shortly after she laid these eggs. Was hoping they wouldn't be crossed. As of now it looks like they didn't. He is really getting his feet under him now. Looking better and better

He
101 is good, Yeh the humidity will go up, that's OK, it shouldn't stay that high long, once he fluffs up, hang tight let him dry off a bit and lets see if he still shakes...

He has stopped shivering now and looks to be trying to clean off his feathers. He isn't walking the best but...
It is at bator says 101, but thermometer inside is at 98, my bator doesn't have a fan. It drop some after he came out and humidity went up to 80%. The temp wire is being moved around by the baby tho.
Yes
Maybe it's the pic or maybe it's me, but it seems like he's a little gooy all over, give him time see if he fluffs up if not he may need a good clean up. Also keep an eye on those legs, they seem to be spread apart as if he's having some difficulties getting them under him but that maybe...
Well I have a baby!
He is thrashing around and seems to be doing well. This glob of stuff came out with him also? Wasn't attached or anything. Any idea what it is?
Ok I finished the zip. The membrane still wet, but it looks brown. I know they turn when they dry, but it's not. Is this normal? Here is a pic of where we are now.
How do I go about doing that? Do I open the bator and take him out and help? How do I keep him warm? A heat lamp? I just don g want to end up hurting him. He is moving and chirping a lot still.
One of my ducks has started hatching....4 days early! I noticed around noon yesterday it had piped. Last night around 11 it had partially zipped. This morning it looks the same, and is chirping and trying hard to get out. I'm not sure if it is in the right position or not. Every once in a while...
Thank you! The suspense is killing me! Lol He is really moving and chirping so I will leave him be. I just don't know how long is too long. I'm worried because he is so early also - I hadnt even locked down my bator yet when I noticed he was hatching.

Thanks for the advice. I just went and took the eggs away. Candling showed 3 were not fertile, one died early on and 2 I couldn't see any moment. I went ahead and cracked them open. Both were fully formed, but looked underdeveloped. I'm glad I took them away. Who knows how long she may have...
Hi I have a goose that started sitting on 8 eggs about 33 days ago. She is an American Buff and has succefully hatched 2 goslings as of Friday. They are doing very well, eating the food and water I have placed for them in the coop. They are staying close to mom but she is still sitting on the...
