Yes Maybe it's the pic or maybe it's me, but it seems like he's a little gooy all over, give him time see if he fluffs up if not he may need a good clean up.  Also keep an eye on those legs, they seem to be spread apart as if he's having some difficulties getting them under him but that maybe...

One of my ducks has started hatching....4 days early! I noticed around noon yesterday it had piped. Last night around 11 it had partially zipped. This morning it looks the same, and is chirping and trying hard to get out. I'm not sure if it is in the right position or not. Every once in a while...

    Baby ducks are hatching!

Thank you! The suspense is killing me! Lol He is really moving and chirping so I will leave him be. I just don't know how long is too long. I'm worried because he is so early also - I hadnt even locked down my bator yet when I noticed he was hatching.

    Goose not leaving nest

Thanks for the advice. I just went and took the eggs away. Candling showed 3 were not fertile, one died early on and 2 I couldn't see any moment. I went ahead and cracked them open. Both were fully formed, but looked underdeveloped. I'm glad I took them away. Who knows how long she may have...
