Rooster can stay with hens all the time. As long as you pull eggs daily they can be eaten even if fertile. Unless you have a hen that is broody and you leave them under her they will not develop. Or you pull them to incubate.

Yes, a couple of the toes on the bottom only are pinkish. When its crop is stretched full you can see some veining that makes it look pinkish. Inside its mouth is sort of mottled black and pink. I will update pics as it grows.
The 2nd one would not have made it unassisted as part of the umbilical cord was behind the neck and it could not move its head. Also was around one leg and had almost cut it open when i unwrapped it. Glad now that the 1st one got crushed and I pulled them. It was nerve wracking though so I hope...
She hatched 5 on Monday and Tuesday so once it's dry and moving around I will put it back with her the problem with putting the partially cracked one back in is she is not staying on the nest because of the ones that hatched Monday and Tuesday
