With the humidity, it has the sliding hole at the top to control the humidity as well as the water control. Between day 1 and 18 how open does the hole need to be, and from day 18 onwards does it need to be closed up? Help please
I'm new to the chicken field, but I currently have 3 Old English Game Bantams and 4 Cochins all 15 weeks old. However I definitely have 1 cochin cockerel and possibly all my bantams are too. They have all been together since week old and all get along fine now. Will it all change as they get...
I've noticed today that 3 of my Cochins upper beaks are turning black. They are 12 weeks old and share a house with 3 bantams and another cochin and they haven't got this. They all act completely normal and poos are all fine. I'm in the UK and this is our first hot day, could it be that? Or am I...
Thank you everyone for your replies!
We have tried to put her on the lead in the garden while they run around and she just gets so worked up over them and turns into a completely different character. I will try all of your methods because it would be a shame to have to completely separate them...
Thank you. My chickens all stand up to her which I hoped she would learn that they aren't scared of her, but she just doesn't leave them alone! I will try and keep her well away from them, which is a shame.
My bantams are 10 weeks old, I'm think pic 1 is a pullet and pic 2 is a roo. I have no idea what breed they are, kind of hoping their either a golden phoenix bantam or an old english game; opinions please
My scared dog is a Chihuahua and my naughty dog is a Yorkshire Terrier. I get shes a terrier but I thought that cause shes seen them grow up it might get her used to it. She is 9 years old though!
I have 2 dogs, 1 that is scared of them and won't go near them; the second who since my chicks have been day old has been obsessed with them, she barks at them and when she is near them tries to get them. Will this behaviour ever wear off? My chicks are now 11 weeks old and the peck her through...
My six older chicks are from the same place so will be the same breed. Same as my bantams will all be the same as each other as from the same farm. We were possibly thinking the bantams could of Golden Pheonixs but totally unsure.
I'm sorry for your loss of chick, but well done on all of the others! I helped one of my chicks because she pipped through and was looking like she gave up so I helped her break out and she was very weak and couldn't move. But after a few days she's very healthy and doing well. Have fun with...
