Crop looks good. She normally eats Poulin and scratch grains. Sometimes free ranges. But currently not eating. Drooping head, unsteady, bright green poop. Quite pale. I tried getting her to eat a scrambled egg, and electrolytes but no such luck.
I have a young pullet, about 4 months old that’s pooping green watery stools and hanging her head, wings are fallen to her side. Help??!! She’s upright, but just not doing well.
I’m curious if anyone can tell me how big my millefleur duccle/satin silkie mix (frizzle) Roo will get? He’s currently 13 weeks old and still just as light as a feather.. he’s plumping out but doesn’t seem to be getting very big! Maybe a pound or 2. Thank you!
I also have 4 RIR, 4Buff Orpington 2 marans and 1EE. But I’m thinking that if these 2 fellas continue to get along, they will also have their own coop. Or I may put 1 roo in with half the ladies and the other in with the other half. I have 2 separate runs. I’m truly hoping that only 1 of these...
He is Millefluer d’uccle and mom was a silkie. I’m still hoping it’s not a Roo!! It’s 8 wks old today. And the comb hasn’t changed at all. Looking at the feathers doesn’t really help because they’re so curled up!😂 I also got a new baby, satin silkie. Which I’m told is a Roo. But again, it’s only...
No it whistle at me when I leave it! If I’m out of sight it will whistle and squawk like crazy. Right now she’s in my arm and being quite aggressive! Pecking me but yet ache doesn’t want to get off of me
I believe he is Mille Fluer d’uccle and silkie. But I think I mistook his age, and honestly the attitude doesn’t scream cockerel. This baby has become seriously imprinted on me! I can’t leave it’s sight and it wants to be on my shoulder/neck or sitting in my lap all day! And it whistles.. is...
Thanks! Yes, they’re not incubated at all. That would be terrible! I had that happen with a duck egg once! As far as getting the girls to stay in the pen, I’m still trying to figure out how they’re escaping! And also returning themselves to the pen! Fully fenced, higher than I can reach . But...
Hey everyone! My girls have been laying outside, I just found a couple of different spots with eggs, I am assuming they’ve been there for a couple weeks. They’ve been protected from elements but it is also cold here, below freezing at night. I’m curious if these eggs would still be edible? No...
Lovely… thank you!! Let me ask, I just got 5 more chicks yesterday, I’m assuming day old or so, 4 RIR and 1 ameracauna (sp), do you think the roo will bother the babies? I do have them in a separate cage but at some point, I’ve got to let them into the general population..
It’s all the same bird..but I assumed as much. How do you know for sure? The black ones, I think they’re some kind of Brahma, are supposed to be Hens but they’re younger and haven’t even gotten tail feathers yet…
I have 2 RIR that I swear are both Roos. They’re about 12/13 wks old but seem awfully big for that age! They’re always chest bumping each other, they leave the other 2 girls alone for the most part. Can anyone help? Thank you!
