Yes the same is with my other chickens but the issue with this one is that she's so RED everywhere. Around her eyes, her comb, her skin, everything, and much more so than all the others. It looks like the type of red typically associated with a rash
Discovered this yesterday on one of my girls. Don't know what it is or what causes it, but she's got some feathers missing and she's extremely red, much more than my other chicks. Her skin is extremely dry and looks kind of inflamed. Any ideas what it is and how to treat it?
They are one week old, and no I haven't been feeding them anything else, should I be? I can't find any of the poop now, I guess they decided to be normal

Hi guys I just got my one day old chicks in the mail today and all of them have pooped green foamy poop. Should I be concerned or is that what they do for their first poop?
I was planning on ordering some BR's for my first flock from IdealPoultry in Texas. Where I'm at in south Texas, we basically just have one season...HOT. Would that affect the time span before they start laying?
So I'm new to chickens, and was wanting to make a laying flock that consisted of some Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Ameraucanas, and Buff Laced Polish. Would this flock
a.) produce a significant amount of eggs
b.) get along, and
c.) stand the South Texas heat?
