They are happy chickens. We have had a lot of rain. They will stay out free ranging if the rain is light. When it pours they run into their pen. So funny to watch chickens run!
Thanks. I think they are pretty chickens too. They sure do love to eat. I enjoy making up treats for them by combining leftovers with bread and fruit. They love it. As far as egg production, I would prefer less eggs over a longer period of time. Oh well. Just starting this venture

New to this!! Have had my eleven chickens for about three months. Bought them as chicks. I'm really enjoying them and can't wait for eggs. Not sure what breed they are. Was told Rhode Island Reds but they are light red with patches of white.
I've had my eleven girls about three months now. Got them as chicks from tractor supply. Thought they were Rhide Island Reds. They are a light reddish with patches of white. They love to eat! I enjoy giving them different foods to try. Can't wait for eggs!
