I will purchase the product you mentioned and go from there. thanks again!
Thank you for your reply. :)
curious (as I'm still new to chickens) why this behavior would suddenly manifest itself after all this time?
they've all always gotten along so well, and I was very happy about this.
I feel so bad for her....
what might cause this behavior to randomly, suddenly...
Good evening, All.
I have a question about a pullet of mine: just very recently it appears she is being pecked at, with obvious feather loss to the top of her head. (no blood, just missing feathers) I have 5 pullets and all have been together since they've been 3 days old. They are now 10...
mine's all dirt too. (one section is sand to dust bathe, and the other is dirt/soil that seems a bit 'heavier' if that makes sense. they don't seem to mind. I add grass that I've pulled from other areas of my lawn and they'll just gobble that up. I find the dirt makes for super, easy clean up...

I have a 4x8 coop for 5 pullets. I originally had 6 but one "she" turned out to be a "he" and based on my city's ordinances roosters are not allowed, so, rehomed he was. I opted for a 'larger' coop due to what I'd read about space requirements and also to help prevent picking, boredom, etc. I...
Good evening guys. Warm greetings from the north shore of MA. And since it's still about 80' out, I can say that literally as well as figuratively!
My name is Sue and I am completely green regarding chickens! I have had 6 since they were 3 days old and they turned 4 months yesterday. They...
