My buff orphington will not open her left wing completely. She will lift it slightly to peck under the wing. It appears to be out of alignment? Currently, she is broody and was able to hop up to her nest. She opened her right completely and used it to get to the ladder, but her left wing stayed...
We are still very hot and muggy here. Our weather will not go down, until late october- mid November.
So staying warm is no problem. I did change out the light to a low night light 15 watts. And i will hanf place them in their coop and allow them out the ladder in the early AM. They have mast...
Thank you for your help, i live coastal. Wilmington, NC. We are very muggy and hot still here. I will place a little 15 watt night light in the coop and teach them. I really appreciate this.

Ms. Lazy is still limping. I have been keeping a close eye on her. Her wounds are healing very nicely.
When she see Sammy bear, she kinda does a loud scream.
Which I would too if a huge big creature tries to get me.
She doesn't mind at all for me picking her up and keeping her wounds...
Her siblings and her are all three are 13 days old. I will place the do crate right up against the back of the coop. Separated but can see each other and then mesh together. Oh thank you for the advice. I love this forums, such nice people
Miss lazy is walking around and kinda of trying to use her right leg.
How long before I introduce her back to her other two hens in the coop? Will they pick at her bc she is kind of limping and still a little wound exposed with a scab. Which is healing and I'm still cleaning
Miss lazy is doing great she is easy pecking, drinking her water with her electrolytes, i have been cleaning her little tiny wound. And she nibbled on her boiled egg. She is hopping on one leg. I have looked at the leg and no sign up or stress or wound. Maybe a muscle ache from being in my...
I
I will keep you updated. Thanks for the advice. Miss. Lazy pooped, and moving around slowly. I have an eye dropper and will give her water and yes I have the vitamin special water for the girls. (Good thing) and will make her chick mash and eggs! Thanks
Miss Lazy is sleeping. She was laid out like a stick now she is laying like a hen and sleeping . Chirping every once in while. She hasn't walked to her water or anything. Should I be worried she ain't walking around yet. I know she misses not being with her buddies Daisy & Maisy.
SO far so good. 1-2 times a day should be enough to keep her wounds clean. Antibiotics only if the bite marks look red and irritated. Observation is the key to spotting trouble so check her
Ms. Lazy got stunned and picked up by my German shepherd. Her wings, not broken, a little wound on her chest below her neck. She is moving and talking when I talk to her . How many times should I clean the wound ? 2-3 x's a day? Do I need to give her antibiotics? I cleaned the wound, places some...
