Hi. They range from 4yrs - 2 yrs. I have never tried supplemental light. I kinda like just letting nature take its course. My concern is illness - but no signs of anything.
Help. I have 10 girls and 0 eggs for about 4 weeks. I’m in California-it’s been super hot and some of the girls are molting. Feeding additional protein, oyster shell always available, fresh water. They don’t seem sick or acting funny. I’m stumped!
I have a polish. She has been brooding for 1week, but she won't sit on eggs. I place them under during the day and at night, she just moves them away. Can I help her? Or let her do her own thing?
Any opinions on using wood pellets in coop? It was suggested, I understand the pellets are also used in horse stalls. California is having a lot of rain (yea) but coop is wet in areas. Any suggestion is welcome. Thank you!
I just noticed this morning my 8 month old pulleys crest looks like sticks in the center. I' m worried about what causes this. It has been really wet and rainy this week, but I don't see evidence of mites. Does anyone have suggestions?
