    this is my TJ that i hatched from a Trader Joe egg. I first thought it was a she but now not sure. What do you think? Also my two girls who have been best friends have started fighting, could it be that TJ is a he and they are fighting over him?

    Not sure 15 watts would be enough. Worth a try anyway. Try the dollar store for a 25 watt bulb.

    You could get the plastic totes at the Dollar Store for a buck. If the tote is small a 20 watt might work, set up the bator and see if the temp holds.

    Wow! A 45 watt lightbulb in a small space like the article mentioned would be wayyyyy to hot and hand warmers as well if right on the egg. The rice in a sock and microwaved would be uneven heating. And none give adequate humidity. If you want an inexpensive DIY incubator, google DIY incubators...

    If you still have the egg, keep it in the bator and get your temp and humidity stable, then candle again in a few day's

    Do not get rid of it, mine did not show any veining until day 5. Leave it in and candle again in a few day's. not all egg's develop at the same rate!
