    Ask a chef

It's taken me quite some time but I've finally read the entirety of this thread, I must say there are some brilliant suggestions and ideas floating around, I don't cook as often as I'd like and lack the creativity of you guys but this has given me some ideas for the weekend!

I'm one of those dang vegetarians, I would happily give any to a good home though, ok I'm on my way home now, I will have a chat with my girlfriend and then go on the search for a dozen hatching eggs! :)

I'm just worried about ending up with 6+ ducks as surely they would be cramped in that space?

unfortunately having them free range without supervision wont be an option where I will be keeping them, hence why I wanted to give them a run with a pond for day to day use and the let them out to explore when I can devote some hours to watching them/clean them out.

Oh god, my girlfriend is going to kill me, so 12 eggs then? I have only really looked at keeping two ducks before with their house and a mobile run that would probably be around 14x8, how many ducks would you keep in that space? they will also be allowed to come out of their run a few times a...

Back on the topic of incubators, will this fit the bill or is it overkill? http://www.brinsea.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=114 I only want two ducks ideally so I'm not sure how many eggs to put in, I don't really want to be inundated with balls of fluff but I could...

I really like chickens, and I realise they would probably be easier to get at this time of year, the plan originally was to get two ducklings, raise them and let them go outside and then raise two chicks, I suppose we could do it the other way around and they are probably much easier to get...

I'm Building an Incubator - please don't bother asking permission to laugh at me

Good idea, to be honest I would pay through the nose if it meant I could get a couple of ducks by Halloween, it doesn't matter too much if I have to wait until spring (and probably makes sense, practically) but it's taken me quite a long time to be able to find somewhere I can keep them without...

Blame the Duckling diary thread! I swear I dream of "Burdz" and "webz" now! Welshies and Cayugas, I actually worked with ducks a lot at college and I have been meaning to get some for a couple of years, but living in the city I have been waiting to find some land to keep them on, this has now...

Stupid Referendum I think Fed-ex would be the best as they have a UK presence, this definitelly need's a bit of thought but it would be cool if I could get some shipped over, that of course is only if they are easier to locate there than here, otherwise I might as well build an incubator as I...

Neither am I, it's not something I have considered before but I also keep reptiles and I know people recieve shipments from the US so I guess it shouldn't be too hard to find out? I really want some fluffy "Burdz" so I can justify spending a little, how expensive do you think? more than $200?
