I'm looking for coop ideas for my roosters. I just ordered this run online, it is 10ft x 13ft. I am looking for something basic that has enough room for a roosting pole (or two), food, water and is easy to clean. Nothing with nesting boxes please (unless it can be made without the boxes.)...
No worries! I have no idea if my rooster has the blue egg gene but I do know my Cuckoo Maran hens lay nice dark brown eggs. I guess it doesn't hurt to try, either way the chicks would have a good forever home.

I did leave a...

I've been reading more on chicken seizures and...
I had a Cuckoo Maran pullet (7 months old) suddenly die last night (Sunday). I didn't see what happened, but found her in the coop at night dead on the ground. She was already stiff, but you could still move her neck. Does this mean her neck was broken?
She didn't have any signs of being...

I have my adult hens and chicks in the coop together and the hens are eating the chick feed.
The chicks are 14 and 13 weeks old. The hens are a year old and older. I feed Nutrena NatureWise Chick Starter Grower feed (non medicated) and...
