If her parents are both pedigreed full lionheads then she is a full lionhead also though, yes? She doesn't have a pedigree for Lucy, but both of the parents are pedigreed :)
I got her a hay feeder thing so she can't climb in and pee or poop in it, and she is doing much better! Also, I went by Rural King on Monday and they put me in touch with the 4-H girl who breeds them. Lucy is a full lionhead! Since she was showing them at 4-H shows, they have to be a recognized...
She likes to do her business in her container for hay I clean it out every single day, and put some of the soiled hay and pellets in her litterbox, but no dice. I've given up on that front for now, but aside from that, it's just here and there. I sweep them up and put them in her litterbox...
My little rabbit is about 11 weeks old now. I bought her at Rural King, they said they got her from a local 4-H girl, and they think she is lionhead, or lionhead and mini rex, or lionhead and lop ear. Any ideas? Also, she is doing really great at only peeing in her litterbox (no worries, I'm...
I ended up getting the Ovation 28 EX. So far my only issue is that the little alarm keeps going off (it's not super loud so it's not disruptive) even though the temps and humidity are staying steady. I've looked through the manual several times and I don't see what would be causing this. It...
Oh crap! I was studying for finals and missed it :( I'm so sorry! If they go up again, I'm more available now. Final on Friday so I'm home studying, and then spring break next week.

At what age can I switch my chicks from their towel floor to pine shavings? I do deep litter with the adults but I'm not sure how it goes with chicks. They're 9 and 10 days old now and I would really like to switch them to regular shavings instead of towels.
Crud, I forgot all about this and set my coturnix eggs (12 of them) on Thursday 1/19 and they're set to hatch between 2/4-2/6, or 2/9 at the latest. I usually throw out unhatched ones by day 21 but if they're wiggling I will give them to day 22. Is it the set day or the hatch day that matters more?
I used half an egg carton to tip the incubator back and forth several times a day. It worked well and avoided handling the eggs too much or opening the incubator and messing with the temps.
How scary!! I learned... sigh... I feel so awful admitting this... you have to put eggs large end up and pointy end down. At least coturnix eggs. I found out I killed a bunch because they were malpositioned and couldn't hatch. I read and read about incubating but somehow missed that they don't...
