Blistered/black comb
My rooster Jerry has black on the top parts of his comb. I've also started to notice it blistering. I want to help him but I'm not sure what I should do. It's been really cold here and we have good ventilation in the coop. I'm not sure if he got frostbitten or if it was from his coyote attack...- LizzieD9

Bloody Comb Frostbite?
My rooster Jerry has the same looking comb. He was attacked by a coyote a week ago and I notice some scratches on his comb from the attack but I'm not sure if the darkness is from the attack or the cold. My hens all look well.- LizzieD9

Update for Jerry! He was his normal self today doesn't seem to have wounds around his need just scratches from his comb. I will continue to keep an eye on him. He's such a lucky guy!- LizzieD9

My rooster was attacked by a coyote
This evening my rooster Jerry was attacked by what I seen was a coyote. I have two grown hens and two chicks that are 14 weeks old. All of my hens were hiding and untouched from the coyote. I looked out my back window to see Jerry was being attacked. I sprinted outside and the coyote ran off...- LizzieD9
