I'm having a problem where my mealworms are pupating and then they just dry up and die. Anyone have any idea's on what the problem is and what I can do to correct this.

I did move them from the garage to inside house where it's 75, but have very few worms left as most seem to have turned to beetles. Still suffering beetle lost but not sure of their life span.

I'm wanting to have more than one bin of mealworms, how long do the beetles live and how often should I move them to a new bin to lay eggs.

I would just use them in the garden. I use old seeds all the time, not 100% germination so just plant heavy and thin.

Anyone feed their hens comfrey leaves, are they safe to feed?

Thanks for the reply's , the 10 x30 run are dog panels and I have 3 foot hardware cloth at the bottom and a 18 inch apron out from the bottom. Thinking electric would stop climbers? Also looking for idea's to cover top.

I have a run that is 10 x 30 and I don't have electric anywhere close. Has anyone used a solar charger and if so can you recommend a brand and anything else I should look for such as power rating.

This is my first post but I have been reading a lot and am getting ready to build my coop. My coop will be 8 x 6 , looking to get between 8 to 12 chickens. The question I have is the inside height of the coop, I see the 4 sq. ft. per chicken recommended in the coop and the 10 sq. ft. in run.
