The rooster's will start to fight over the hens. If you want a rooster I would only have one. Plus mating will start with the hens and sometimes the roosters can be pretty aggressive.

This worked for me. Place them next to each other for a couple of weeks. So they can see each other but not get to each other. Then put them together at night. It worked for me. Had no problems.
She is a dominant hen. Someone said to remove her because she will teach the others. I have three hens in bad shape and one had to be removed from the flock because of its wound.
Purchased chickens last year. Having a problem.
Rooster is mating with the hens,which is normal. However I have one hen that grabs the heads of hen while he is mating them. One had to be removed because of how bad the wound is. Is there anything I can do?
