Three week old and four month old

She is pretty! I have two 4 month olds and 10 3week olds i believe. So this is a first for me raising them R.I.R. Since chicks.

We had 10 but one drowned and the other one , momma chick killed it. so we are left with eight

I am so sorry, it is sad when we loose one.

So my daughter held on to the eggs and one was still hatching and the other eggs one was peeping so we took baby chicks away and put her back on eggs.she is still laying on eggs so maybe chickies will come. And cold baby chick is all better now.

Yes we cleaned out her coop , one of the chicks we found cold and the other drowned, I am so sad. I am trying to keep the chick as warm as possible. So now we have eight with one trying to make it through.:(

So yesterday 9 chicks hatched out of 12 that the broody was laying on. So Little, fluffy, and all colored black some with brown spots. I am still hopeful the other three will hatch. :) I was so excited

Ok well thanks for replying, it was weird to me that she would move positions but I am only a newbie and starting to learn.

I am curious, my banty is broody and in two to four days is when hopefully chicks will hatch and two days ago I noticed the Banty Move directions in her Nesting Box. She was facing South and all of a sudden moved facing North. Is it Normal for her to be moving around? I am new to this ,so I have...

I Did get three Buff Orpingtons and three silver campine. Never heard of the silver campine before and thought I'd give them a try. I will check for black copper marans, the Americaunas and the Easter Eggers. And about the Roosters, I believe those will be the only three for now, I don't know...
