What a lovely story! Your chickens are adorable!

Our coop is moderately sized for 6-8 chickens, and the heat plate I have can house 10 chicks with ease, but splitting/sectioning the coop or the heat plate may deem impossible, at least for someone not handy at all like me.

We live in California with warm weather, and I do have a long fenced/netted off area for the chicks to run about. So they do have plenty of space.

Thanks! Can't believe they are already one week old. This morning when my girl brought them some fermented seeds treat, they ran up to her! Took them over 3 days to warm up to us. So worth the effort!
