    Thanks for the advice re trimming :) They wont free range all day, especially while I work out if there are predators in the area, but definitely in the afternoon as that is when me and my child are home playing in the garden :)

I have chosen my coop etc and will be getting it online as it seems a lot cheaper, but where do I get affordable shavings for their floor. I poped into Pet Barn today and it was $60 for 2 bales...I am pretty sure...

    Thanks Telia...i freaked out a bit at the thought of them pulling up my garden...and I definitely want them to free range because this is my way of getting a pet that I can have but still go away on the weekend if need be :) Ill check out those threads

    thanks ct. im in ausustralia so man issue will be snakes in the coop im guessing. they will free range at home in the afternoon with me and my kid. im hoping large birds like cockatoos wont be an isuse.
