    The coop we built said it would fit 16-20 chickens and there is only 9 in there now. I have 7 more coming. Hope they all fit.

    They have all been together since tiny chicks. They used to roost on little branches when they lived in the dog cage.

    We bought these coop plans online. What is considered normal diameter for the roosts? Last night we blocked off the nesting boxes and they went insane. It sounded like the rooster was attacking them. I could see a few birds way up high in the trusses.

    Sleeping in nesting boxes!

    My chickens are anywhere between 13-17 weeks old and they pretty much all climb into two of the nesting boxes to sleep at night. Is this normal? Will they adjust when they start laying? I'm going to put a couple more wood ladders in there today but they don't even use the one that is in there.

    New to chickens

    I have 9 chicks. They are between 1 1/2 weeks to 3 1/2 weeks. Then I have a batch of 7 coming from Mypetchicken mid April. These will be our first chickens. I'll have 16 and will only keep one rooster so hopefully we don't get too many of those. I also have 4 runner ducks coming in April too.
