    How to Increase laying rate of chickens this time of year???

    i thought this was a joke but a breeder here told me to mix some ensure to the feed along with layer feed . well it works within three wks almost all my hens were laying eggs.

    i live in the u.s. virgin islands and i breed several hennie game bantams . these little beuties are small versions of the puerto rico gamefowl called posttiza or gallo fino. does any of you oeg bantam breeders have any hennies ? would love to buy some and see what pics u might have.

    you are correct theres many different gamefowl breeds with hennies . but most breeders stateside seem to see seabrights as hennies.

    good explnation. also almost all bantam breeds bred in the caribbean and puerto rico are bred down smaller than the ones bred staeside. alot of staeside breeders are amazed at how small we have bred them down. especially all the clean legged varieties. hope this helps .

    most of my friends breed for short legs and smaller birds . we have found we get more short legs when we breed a long to short. odd but true. when we breed short leg to short leg we get alot of longs.we tried this with several bantam breeds especially the japanese.

    the puerto rican hennie is a gamefowl which are used in the legal cockpits in puerto rico and the u.s.virgin islands as well as the british .virgin islands and the whole caribbean they are called gallo fino or postiza gamefowl they are dangerous gamefowl in the pit and highly respected . these...

    u are correct most breeders in puerto rico sell them for 10 bucks .they have every bantam breed u can mention .but,the ones the whole caribbean prefer are there postiza gamefowl bantams some are also called gallo fino these are like the american game bantam only smaller.i breed this type alot...

    this info is terribly wrong. kikiriki is the spanish word for bantams al over south america and puerto rico as well as all caribbean islands..
