SO.... i have officially identified 2 Roos and 3 pullets in my 9 bird flock, but there are a few stragglers that are semi smaller then the confirmed Roos but still have a kind of large comb.. they are RIR so from pictures i was looking at i noticed that some hens have kind of large combs...

    So we were out in the coop yesterday and my chickens (just moved out to the big coop) were walking around and then i see this going on with one of the girls... the strangest part is that shes still getting around fine which is why i didn't notice it before now and the other chicks don't push her...

    Hey guys so here in Virginia weather is about 70s during the day and mid to high 50s at night, so we were wondering if the weather was good enough to move our 4 1/2-5 week chicks and ducks to their outside coops? If needed i can definitely run an extension cord out there and put their heat lamps...
