Hi my mama hen has 5 chicks and they are just barely 3 weeks old and she left them in their nest area I have for them and returned to the flock to roost up high with them.isnt it a bit early?
Hi Marla I had17 baby chicks and lost 6 in the first 3 days.i read your article and am trying the bandana to save my last chick that is looking weak. It’s pretty quiet as she lays on my chest, is that good? But does chirp if I lift her up.

I have 15 hens and half of them roost and the others cuddle in the corner below.
I have the roost 18 inches off the floor of the coop. Should I lower it for 8 week olds?
Im worried the ones on the roost will poop down on the ones below. Is this a concern?

Ive always liked rabbits. I raised them as a kid with chickens for meat.
Im not sure about raising them for meat now...maybe. I always hated when my
older brother would kill them to butcher, they scream like crazy. Im leaning more
toward raising bunnies and selling them. I do like rabbit meat...
